Comparing your life to Jonas'
Now that we are 2 chapters into the book, people are starting to compare their lives to that of Jonas and the people who live in his community. When you compare things you need to identify both differences and similarities. Take some time to compare your life to Jonas'. Is your life much different from his, or are there more similarities?

hi mrp vienna again im so psyched about reading the next chapter of the giver its gotten interesting ttyl.i still cant find a lot of similiarities between me and jonas.
hi mrp its vienna ur probably interviewing parents now but im liking the way mr.belanger is teaching us about poetry and the giver.hes a good teacher.oh ya and i hope nobody noticed the coffee stain on your sleeve. ciao.
hey mrp its vienna im finished my h.m. so i thought id go on your site its fun.i wasnt here on monday so i didnt read chapter 3 so i dont get gabriel's intelligent eyes and what happened with jonas but ill probably catch up.

My life is very different compared to Jonas' because i find in my life there is a lot more freedom. It definitly seems like his life is in the future just by the way they speak. But everything they do is just very odd. I question almost all of it! Also, in my life, everyone looks different and has their own 'image of god', where as in the book, mody people look a certain way, and when you dont look this way, you're considered special.
